A very special day!

A year ago today I got a call from the NICU nurse right before I was leaving for the hospital. They had told us many times before Rachel might come home but each time I would get to the hospital all excited, but there was always a setback. So this phone call was a VERY big surprise. Not only was Rachel coming home BUT Callum (who had been behind on his weight) was ALSO coming home. Since than my life has NEVER been better (and I've never been more exhausted)!

Rachel,

A year ago you came home from the hospital and now you are taking your first steps! Even with feet that don't quite work right you are determined to walk. That is you, you have the determination to do anything and everything you put your heart into and I've no doubt you will rule the world one day ;) You will always be our "little princess" and we love you like crazy! We hope as you move mountains you will still have time for a quick kiss and hug.

Love,
Dad and Mom

Callum,

You are the little fighter who surprises us always. Last year I was worried I was going to leave you behind in the NICU but than BAM you caught up and got to go home w/your sister. You are the biggest sweetheart. You are quiet and gentle but I have no doubt in my mind that in your heart you posess the strength of an army. With a combination like that how could you lose? We love you so much and I hope we will always be close to you and feel your beautiful spirit as you go out into the big world one day!

Love,
Mom and Dad
